Integration typically occurs in two ways. The first method involves using smart circuit breakers or relays installed directly within the distribution box. These Wi-Fi or Zigbee-enabled modules allow individual circuits to be switched on/off remotely via a central smart hub or app.

The second, more common method, is to have a standard distribution box feed power to low-voltage smart lighting controllers (like those for DALI or DMX systems) located nearby.
